What To Do When the Word Doesn’t Work

The Value of Words

In a world where a thirty-page contract has to be created to bind an agreement between two people; having faith in a person’s faith is difficult. Anon can hire a good lawyer to dissect that same contract line by line and find fault with the agreement–thus making it non-binding; it’s no wonder that one’s word means little.

The world and its culture influence how we act, what we believe and what we say more so than we’d rather admit. We live in a world, regardless of city and nation where many people just don’t honour their words. People put more value on the words that are on a piece of paper than the words that come out a person’s mouth.

Too often there is little value is placed on words because we don’t expect people to keep or honour their word. People say things very carelessly with no commitment to carry it out. In this type of culture, we learn to not trust what people say.

Through faith, we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear. Hebrews 11:3

The Nature of Words

Everything created is God’s word personified. He spoke it and it became so.  Everything created is a physical representation of God’s imagination (imagine-nation). Everything that exists has an image and that image is sustained by the word that God calls it. Before God says a thing, He sees a thing.

When God sees things with His holy imagination, He names the image and it becomes so.

God said, “Let there be light and it became so”.

Faith doesn’t only come by hearing, faith also comes by seeing – seeing with your spirit that is.

Listen to the following about faith in the literal translation of Hebrews:

And faith is of things hoped for a confidence, of matters not seen a conviction,

Hebrews 11:1 Young’s Literal Translation

The key words there in the Greek are:

  • confidence
  • conviction

The word conviction means strong persuasion. You will always have strong confidence when you are convinced something is true.

Are you persuaded that what God said about your situation is absolute truth?

In the beginning, was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. John 1:1

In order to see the word of God manifest in your, you have to trust the word beyond just hearing the word. You have to give [image] to the word you heard. That image in your mind when it’s married to your faith; will come to pass.

When the “Word” doesn’t work:

1. Inspect your heart.
2. Look for unbelief.

Unbelief hides beneath human reasoning and is covered by the religious garb of human understanding. Inspect your heart and look for doubt. Doubt hides underneath disappointments and covered by broken promises and despair.

The Lord has not forsaken you. His promises seem late but they are coming right on time.

If you want THE WORD to work, then you must get a newfound revelation of what the word is and how the word operates in your life. If you have no respect for the words you speak, your heart and mind are constantly operating in unbelief and error. Your mind and heart know subconsciously to not believe and not expect what it hears from the outside because it knows that you are lying on the inside. It’s all reciprocal.

For those of you that want to go higher in God, you will need to take your life to the next level by becoming the kind of person whose word can be trusted and you will soon see the manifestation of God’s word in your life — because the word honours the word.

The Word of God in your life is a direct reflection of the value you give to the words you speak and believe.

You will automatically begin to attract God’s word because you will be living in the kingdom principle of “the manifest word”.

In the beginning (in all beginnings) is the word…John 1:1
