Start Hearing God More Clearly

Life comes with many distractions.  Life is busy and often noisy.  One day is filled with working, going to school, going to church, going shopping, etc. etc. etc.

Even church, after the praying, worshipping and listening to the sermons; how much quality quiet time have you spent with God alone?

Life is so busy that some people don’t know how to be still. True quiet is being still and focusing your complete attention to God with no talking on your part.  It’s in quiet that God speaks the loudest. Ask the prophet Elijah while he was on the side of the mountain in total emptiness booooom…God begins to speak.

Then He said, “Go out, and stand on the mountain before the Lord.” And behold, the Lord passed by, and a great and strong wind tore into the mountains and broke the rocks in pieces before the Lord, but the Lord was not in the wind; and after the wind an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake; and after the earthquake a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire; and after the fire a still small voice. 1 Kings 19:11-12

In quiet the voice of God is amplified.

The word “quiet” means marked by little or no motion or activity and free from noise.

In quiet you hear God loud and clear.

I want encourage you to start practicing the art of quiet. If you have to pencil in a half hour or a whole hour on your calendar; do so.

Natural and spiritual noise is keeping you stuck, keeping you from advancing and keeping you from receiving the abundant supply of God’s provisions be that physical or financial.

What Do You Gain in Quiet:

  • In quiet, the sound of the Spirit is amplified and magnified.
  • In quiet, you will learn to hear with your spirit and not with your natural ears.
  • In quiet, solutions and strategies abound.

In a still small voice; after your pain, after your sorrows, after your doubts and despair—you’ll hear His still small voice saying “Come this way.” New direction with fresh perspective and fresh anointing are yours.
