Don’t Throw in the Towel

Have you ever felt so weak in faith that you just wanted to give up on life?

You don’t want to die; you just want to give up on believing in your dreams because it’s taking too long. Even when God’s promises take too long, you just want to give up.

You still believe in God but you just question, “Did you really hear God? “Did God really say…?”

Then there are those times when you feel you don’t deserve the good things of God because you fall short because you have sin that you can’t conquer and you’re in a hole of self-pity.

Is your soul in despair? Do you lack hope? Again, your faith in God is intact; it’s just your faith in his manifest word that is lacking.

Let’s be real for a minute. It’s when we’re real that we can get real healing. The woman with the issue of blood didn’t deny she was bleeding.

You haven’t walked away from God. You still have the mechanics of the faith. You still go to church. You’re still the captain of the praise team but you’re sad inside. Feelings of despair have taken over. Sometimes the fight to believe is lost, without hope and we’re gasping for air. Sometimes we give up the fight, throw in the towel and hang our head in defeat.

I will be the first to tell you please don’t commit spiritual suicide.

Don’t give up on yourself.

Don’t give up on the dream.

Don’t give up on the promise.

Life can often be like a boxing ring and Satan is the constant opponent who is relentlessly in attack mode punching away until we crumble and fall. The referee counts 1…2…3…4…5…6…7…8…9… with the final countdown declaring Satan the winner. I’m here to tell you, you may down but you’re not knocked out. You haven’t reached (10) the final countdown.

Let my words serve as the fresh wind of the Holy Spirit.

You are worthy.

You are forgiven.

You are beloved.

You are blessed.

I know that life has been difficult for many reading this and you quietly question God. You have asked where is Jehovah my provider. He’s never far but his timing sometimes seems late. Ask Job.

I have been in this dark place of waiting on God and waiting on God and waiting on God.

All the while Satan my accuser constantly voicing my faults in my ears and telling me God has left me. Can I be real for a minute? I was drowning in
despair and hit the absolute bottom but, I landed on my back and could see my way up to believing in my dreams again. It’s when you hit rock bottom that mustard seed faith will help you get up and back into the fight. With just a little bit of faith I began to remember God’s promises to me. Then I started to write them down. Then I started to declare them. That was enough to send Satan running.

I want to tell you, I believe in you. I believe in your dreams. I believe in the manifestation of God promises for your life. I believe His promises are
great, awesome and powerful.

“God’s faithfulness is the one constant in the equation. He is the Rock on which we stand.”
Paul Silway

One thing I know for sure is that God is faithful to honor his promise to you. He has in the past for me and for others that I know and love. I fell into a dark place because that’s Satan’s job. I knew God was faithful, I was just under attack and I almost lost but I fought back in the last hour—in the last round. That’s my prayer for you. I’m praying for your come back.

Hold on, rise up and hit back. The glory of your ladder shall be greater that your former.

The glory of this present house will be greater than the glory of the former house,’ says the LORD Almighty.
‘And in this place I will grant peace,’ declares the LORD Almighty.”
Haggai 2:9
